Old Cathay is actually a relatively new Malaysian Chinese restaurant in Victoria Park.. It's not new new.. I've been there a couple of times but only brought my camera this time around..
The interior design is sleek and modern.. Good harmony of colours and paintings on wall add to the soothing atmosphere..
Medium size Butter King Prawns was priced at $28.80.. The King Prawns were your average sized.. This dish was well done, as how butter prawn should taste like..
Spinach with century eggs & salted eggs costed $16.80. The century and salted eggs added depth to this otherwise simple dish.. Taste ok.
Sago Gula Melaka with Taro Ice Cream came at $6.80. The taro ice cream was not as flavourful as I remember them.. Don't know why..
Complimentary fruit.. Good for digestive system..
Old Cathay offers reasonably good Malaysian food in Perth..
